Helmet rules are strictly enforced (all racers and forerunners) The rule book states: "In an effort to reduce the possibility of head injury the OISRA requires the wearing of ski helmets by contestants and forerunners in all alpine events. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that his/her helmet is in a safe and undamaged condition and fits properly, and complies with FIS 6, which reads in part : Only helmets are permitted whose shell and padding cover the head and ears." Repeat: the helmet shell must cover your ears.This applies to all training, including any free skiing while at any ski area with the team. Helmet requirements are for your personal safety.
